Springs Care Primary School Uniform Policy
General Principles
This School uniform policy is designed to promote a sense of belonging, reduce distractions, and ensure that all students are dressed safely and appropriately for school activities. This policy applies to both day and boarding students.
Daily Uniform Requirements
Boys:
Tops: cream shirt with the school logo.
Bottoms: Army green shorts.
Sweater: Army green with cream stripes with the school logo.
Footwear: Black leather shoes. No open-toe sandals or high-tops.
Socks: Grey with white stripes socks.
Girls:
Full Army green dress with a school logo.
Sweater: Army green sweater with cream stripes,with the school logo.
Footwear: Black leather shoes. No open-toe sandals or high heels.
Socks: White for upper classes, gray with white stripes.
Boarding Students Additional Requirements
Casual Wear: Boarding students are allowed casual wear outside of school hours, but clothing should be modest and appropriate.
Sleepwear: Pajamas or nightgowns suitable for a communal living environment.
Weekend Wear: Casual clothing is allowed during weekends, but students should dress appropriately for communal activities and meals.
Special Events: Boarding students should have at least one set of smart casual clothing for special events and outings.
Grooming Standards
Hair: Hair should be neat and tidy. Extreme hairstyles or unnatural colors are not permitted.
Jewelry: Minimal jewelry is allowed. Earrings should be small studs or hoops. No other body piercings are allowed.
Makeup: Makeup is not allowed for primary school students.
Nails: Nails should be kept short and clean. No nail polish is allowed.
Enforcement and Compliance
Non-Compliance: Students not in uniform will be given a verbal reminder. Continued non-compliance will result in a note sent home to parents/guardians. Boarding students may face additional consequences as per the boarding house rules.
Exceptions: Any exceptions to the uniform policy for religious or medical reasons must be approved by the school administration.
Purchasing Uniforms
Uniforms can be purchased from the school’s designated supplier. Second-hand uniforms are also available through the school’s uniform exchange program.
This policy ensures clarity and consistency while accommodating the needs of both day and boarding students.
